AT DOURO MOUNTAINS

Please don't think that Douro Valley is only beautiful in Spring and Summer. It isn't only wine tastings and a cruise on the river. At Douro mountains, where it all began, we have much more! Planting the vineyards,watch it die , replant it again, make new vineyards,care about it all the year, make the wine famous arround  the world... and finelly have a glass by the fireplace. At time harvest some people think that everything has a finish, but it hasn't. Another and important work begins at the cellars and we need to have forces to start all over again!
Meanwhile, Douro has a special beauty during Autumn with the vineyards coloured with red,yellow,gold and brown. Beautiful sunny days  and  a enourmous peace and tranquility to visit  wonderful museums,gardens,churchs,palaces and also mountains for a ride.Wonderful places to stay, wines and food do taste,good music to hear and a book to read.
